Special and Seasonal Worship Services
Worship of God in Christ occurs at all times and seasons. Some special services that we hold in addition to regular Sunday morning services in the sanctuary include:
Christmas Eve
- 10:30 a.m. Communion service – in remembrance of Christ
- 5:00 p.m. Early service – music provided by children of the congregation
- 10:30 p.m. Organ recital – a joyous feast of song
- 11:00 p.m. Lessons and Carols – a service to celebrate the mystery and beauty of Christ’s birth
Ash Wednesday
7:00 p.m. Service
Wednesdays in Lent
5:30 p.m. Supper
6:30 p.m. Service
7:00 p.m. Biblical Insight
Maundy Thursday
7:00 p.m. Tenebrae and communion service
Easter Sunday
- 8:30 a.m. Worship in Sanctuary
- 9:00 a.m. Flowering of the Cross Brunch and Service in Fellowship Hall
- 10:30 a.m. Worship in Sanctuary
First Presbyterian also hosts worship and prayer services for the community at times of crisis or community need.
