"Lord, when was it that we saw you naked and gave you clothing?" - Matthew 25:38

Thrift Shop

Hours: Wednesdays 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. (September to May)

The Thrift Shop is a ministry of the Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church. The Thrift Shop is located on the church's lower level. Household items, clothing for women, men, and children, jewelry, and seasonal items are available.

Proceeds from the sales are distributed to local social service organizations, including the Sunday Evening Meals Program, the Willis Dady Shelter, Helping Hands and the Ecumenical Community Center. In addition, diners from Sunday Evening Meals are invited to select items from the shop twice a year, and items are donated to needy persons by arrangement.

We are also always looking for donations of usable, clean items. A receipt for donated items is available upon request.

For more information, please contact Mary Humphrey, Thrift Shop Director (364-6761) or First Presbyterian Church.

Volunteers do all of the work, from sorting through donations to assisting with, selling, and bagging purchases.  The Thrift Shop is always in need of volunteers who are willing to help out (work is generally in the morning on Monday and Tuesday year round, and when the shop is open on Wednesdays, 10-2).
