We love to eat together...

As is the case with many church families, we do a lot of socializing around food.  The Fifth Sunday of every month is 'Fifth Sunday Potluck" at First Presbyterian.  We also enjoy special meals prepared by groups, such as our youth, who are raising money for their own program or mission trips.pentecost lunch

In addition to eating together, we also like to get together to prepare food for the community on Sunday evenings in  SEMP (Sunday Evening Meals Program) or week days at noon where a small group prepares meals for the AmeriCorps/VISTA volunteers who are working in Cedar Rapids on flood rebuilding efforts.

We house the Linn County Food Community Food Bank as well.

So...if food is something you enjoy.  That is part of our fellowship in many ways.

On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate Communion together in worship as we partake of the Sacrament of Communion as a congregation. All who have experienced the love of Jesus Christ in their lives are welcomed to share in the sacrament with us at 10:30 the first Sunday of the month.
