ReBellion
Youth Handbell Choir of First Presbyterian Church, Ottumwa, Iowa
They will be sharing their music with us during the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service next Sunday, April 27.
This high energy ensembel currently has 9 members ranging from 6th grade through 12th grade. They ring three to four octaves of handbells and three octaves of handchimes. ReBellion represents their home church at many local community events, and has toured throughout Iowa.

Peter Jauhiainen, First Pres Chancel Choir member, will be featured as a guest soloist as will several Kirwood students who have sung with the First Pres Chancel Choir this year. Our guest organist for the evening is David Richardson, an Iowa City musician with extensive musical experience. He will open the concert with some solo works for organ.
A Concert for the Whole Family
On Friday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Theatrical Chamber Music and Narrative Improvisation will present a family concert.
This concert is open to the public and admission is free. The program includes musical treatments of poems by Lewis Carroll and the world premiere of Zoo Stories, a set of new fables by composer Robert Nelson and playwright Kate Pogue for horn, mezzo-soprano, and peano. Along the way the performers offer spontaneous musical improvisations for horn, cello, and voice. There is something in the program for everyone!
